Tablet web traffic share
According to recent sales reports, tablet traffic is not growing fast any more especially compared to other device categories, such as wearables. Many industry experts say that this may be caused by the market saturation in developed regions. Typical tablet’s lifespan is also longer than for other mobile devices. Here is the share of tablet traffic in some selected countries during the last three quarters.
Researchers report that Android is the best-selling tablet operating system, overtaking iOS and Windows. However Apple tablets are the most used for web browsing in most countries analysed in the report. Here you can see tablet vendor web browsing share in France and Germany.
In the smartphone world, Android is the leading operating system in terms of web traffic, and it has increased its lead over iOS during the last quarter. It now outperforms iOS in 73 out of 90 countries analysed in the report. Here are some countries where Android and iOS were the most popular smartphone operating systems in Q2 2015.
